The God of gods

UNDERSTANDING THE GOD OF gods

(Deuteronomy 10:17)

As you know, Elohim is a plural form in Hebrew [im], which means gods. In hearing you teach, there seems to be some confusion on the subject of Elohim. The Trinity is One God in three Persons. The Father is God, and the Son is God, and the Holy Ghost is God, yet not three Gods, One God (El or Eloah). Therefore, Elohim (gods) could never be part of the Christian Orthodox/Catholic/Protestant definition of the Trinity, despite many attempting to do so. It can only be three Persons=One God. According to the Trinitarian formula in accordance with the Hebrew, it can be “Eloah,” or “EL,” but never “Elohim.” This is not to deny the creator (Genesis 1:1), but to remind us that He is the Lord of hosts. As it says in Deuteronomy 10:17, “For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome...” Adam was the only son of God created from the dust of the earth, and infused with spirit to become a living soul (Luke 3:38), however, when he deliberately sinned (1 Timothy 2:14), he lost his sonship with God, and he was subject to death, and therefore, we, his offspring, had no inheritance of sonship with the Father, due to our father Adam’s sin, as we were, without Christ, dead in our trespasses and sins also. God is God of the living not the dead. Therefore, no one on this planet, except those in Christ, can claim sonship with the Father. Adam was the only son born of the earth, as it were created, and Christ was the only Son born, as it were the begotten Son of God, as He was the only Son to be born on earth. What this all means is that at no time prior to Christ could any son of Adam claim sonship, or be designated as a son of God, or be of the sons of God.

The sons of God (the Elohim) are in Heaven not literally on the earth, as we read in Job 1:6-7, and remember, Job was born after the flood, “Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them. And the LORD said to Satan, “From where do you come?” So Satan answered the Lord and said, “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”

In Job 38:2-7,the LORD asks,“Who is this who darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now prepare yourself like a man; I will question you, and you shall answer Me. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements? Surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? To what were its foundations fastened? Or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sang together, and

all the sons of God (Elohim) shouted for joy?”

Because of Satan’s rebellion and seeking equality with the Most High, many in Heaven were disturbed for a very long time. Think of it, a third of the host of Heaven outright joined Satan, and others as expressed in Psalm 82, many of these sons of God were unsure and unstable in their duties, which caused a further instability on earth.

Psalm 82

God (EL) stands in the congregation of (Elohim) the mighty (Literally: Elohim stands in the presence of EL, God); He judges among the (Elohim) gods.
How long will you judge unjustly, and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
Defend the poor and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and needy.
Deliver the poor and needy; Free them from the hand of the wicked.

They do not know, nor do they understand; they (the people of the world) walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable.

I said, “You are gods [Elohim], and all of you are sons of the Most High.
But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.”

Arise, O God [Elohim, sons of God], judge the earth; for You shall inherit all nations.

Psalm 82 has nothing to do with human leadership, for the sons of God are in Heavenly realms.

So, who is the Most High over all the earth? The Father, the all in all God, tells us in the Epistle to the Hebrews.

Hebrews 1:5-10 “For to which of the angels did He ever say: ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You’? And again: ‘I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son’?

But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: ‘Let all the angels of God worship Him.’

And of the angels He says: ‘Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.’

But to the Son He says: ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness more than Your companions.’

10 And: ‘You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of Your hands.’”

Please note, that the Father calls the Son by this name YHWH!

There is the Preeminent Son of God, who is our creator. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powersAll things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross” (Colossians 1:13-20).

In Matthew 11:27, Christ said, “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

“The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand” (John 3:35).

Therefore, The Father gave all things to the Son, who will destroy all evil and rebellion that is against the sovereignty of His God and Father.

“But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all”

(1 Corinthians 15:20-28).“No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18). The question goes begging, who did the Patriarchs and Prophets see, for many claimed to see God, and Moses saw God face to face and even saw the full glory of His Person, however, protected from seeing God’s face in full glory, for no person could live and see the full glory of God face to face. Obviously, when Moses would speak face to face, the glory of God was toned down, so to speak. But who did Moses really see? It was the Son of God, who is the image of God (1 Colossians 1:15).

The whole Bible is all about the Savior, who is the creator, the only God of Israel, as He said,

“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:39).

Behold the Savior YAHSHUA!

Ask yourself, who is speaking in Isaiah 44:6-8?

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.
And who can proclaim as I do? Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me, Since I appointed the ancient people. And the things that are coming and shall come, Let them show these to them.
Do not fear, nor be afraid; Have I not told you from that time, and declared it? You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’”

The One speaking here is none other than the Son of God, for He even says the very same thing to the apostle John (Revelation 1:17).

The apostle Paul identifies the Rock as Christ: “Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, all ate the same spiritual food, and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:1-4).

This is not to deny the Father, for the Son clearly shows deference to the Father:

“For I have not spoken of my own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak” (John 12:49)

, and in

John 6:38, “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

“For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment”(John 5:26-27),

and to the Jews He says,

“And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, Because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5:37-39)

Christ is the Rock, and Christ is the God in the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament).

Christ, the Messiah, is YAH who is (YHWH), and He is YAH who saves (YAHSHUA), which means He is YAHSHUA. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

We know this because Christ has “the name which is above every name!”

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).

The name Jesus is only four hundred year in its present form, so the apostles never knew the name of Jesus, and God revealed the name of YAHSHUA.

If we deny His name, YAHSHUA, we may very well stand condemned. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).

Do not use the name of Jesus, for God never revealed that name, but rather be not condemned and believe in the name of YAHSHUA!
