The Birth of YAHSHUA
Presented Steve Marlowe, Evangelist
There is no other name
In the years between 7 to 4 BC
according to the Gospel (the New Testament), Mary was betrothed to Joseph, however, before they came together, she was found with child. Joseph did not want to humiliate her publicly. That night, he was contemplating how to disengage from the marriage by putting her away quietly. While he thought about these things, he slept, and an angel of the LORD appeared to him in a dream. The angel said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name YAHSHUA, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:18-21).
Would the angel tell a Jewish couple, Joseph and Mary, to name the Son of God by a Latin name of Iesus, which was later changed to Jesus?
One may ask, “Wait a minute, the angel said, ‘Jesus,’ not YAHSHUA, right?” Did you know that the name Jesus is not a Hebrew name, nor is it Aramaic, nor is it Greek, for it is a Latin name transliterated from the Greek, which is Iesous. The name “Jesus” has no real intrinsic meaning in any language that pertains to salvation, but indeed the angel told Joseph that the Messiah’s name is YAHSHUA because the name YAHSHUA means “YAH Saves,” or “YAH our salvation.
but indeed the angel told Joseph that the Messiah’s name is YAHSHUA because the name YAHSHUA means “YAH Saves,” or “YAH our salvation.
(fun fact in Hebrew writing they write and read from Right to left, unlike Americans where they read left to right)
” YAH is the name which is above every name given to Moses (Exodus 3:13-15; Philippians 2:9).
There was a similar Aramaic name that was commonly known among the Jews, the name “Yeshua”,
however, this name does not have the name which is above every name. We properly say, the Hebrew expression,
“Halleluyah,”
which means, “Praise YAH.” This proves that YAH is the name above every name.
2. The evaluation of the letter “J”
Historian, scholar, and archaeologist Ernest Renan acknowledged in his book,
The Life of Jesus
that never in the Savior’s lifetime was He called “Jesus” (p. 90). Why are Christians using the name Jesus when in the Greek Manuscripts of the New Testament, we find Iesous, not Jesus? Did you know that the sound of the letter J is not found in Hebrew? Did you know that the letter ‘J’ which is the first letter in the name Jesus, was officially added to the English alphabet in the 17th century?
THE NEW BOOK OF KNOWLEDGE
under the letter:
“J, the tenth letter of the English alphabet, is the youngest of the 26 letters. It is a descendant of the letter “I” and was not generally considered a separate letter until the 17thcentury. The early history of the letter ‘J’ is the same as the history of the letter ‘I.’ The letter, ‘J’ was not generally considered a separate letter until the 17thcentury… ‘I’ is a descendant of the ancient Phoenician and Hebrew letter Yod and the Greek letter iota” (Vol. 10, 1992 ed.). Therefore the name “Jesus” as found in its present form is only approximately 400 years old. In the 1611 English version of the Bible, the name of the Savior was written as “Iesus.”
This means that the name of Jesus has evolved and changed, and it cannot be the revealed name given from Heaven! We can see the
evolution of this name Jesus, from Iesus, from Iesous, and from Yeshua… The letter ‘J’ according to the Funk and Wagnalls Encyclopedia, “Not until the middle of the 17th century did this usage become universal in English books; in the King James Bible of 1611 for example

(p. 106). In a footnote, F. F. Bruce in his book, The Book and the Parchments,
adds: “In the English Bible, Hebrew proper names with Yod are represented with j, which in modern English has quite a different sound from y. Thus ‘Jehovah-jireh’ would have been pronounced in Hebrew something like ‘Yahweh yeereh’” (p. 40).
An increasing number of competent Bible scholars now agree with scholar Charles Cutler Torrey (Documents of the Primitive Church) that the New Testament in whole or part was first written in Hebrew and only later translated into Greek.
In the September 12, 1986 issue of The Washington Times, David Bivin notes that YAHSHUA, like His contemporaries, most likely spoke Hebrew. Bivin, a member of the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, in Jerusalem, Israel, states that the original account of YAHSHUA’S life was written in Hebrew, not Greek or Aramaic. Because of the recognition of basing the original Gospels in Hebrew many textual difficulties are cleared up, which strongly suggests that the Gospel writers first wrote in Hebrew.
Martin Luther wrote in Tischreden,
“Although the New Testament is written in Greek, it is full of Hebraisms and Hebrew expressions. It has therefore been aptly said that the Hebrews drink from the spring, the Greeks from the stream that flows from it, and the Latins from a downstream pool”
(translated by Pinchas E. Lapide, Hebrew in the Church, p. 10).
3. Is it justified ?
Where is the justification for changing the Savior’s revealed name? What might of happened that would have allowed for the illegitimate changes of the very revealed name of the Savior?
Following the destruction of Judea in 70 CE, Rome crushed the Bar Kochba rebellion in 135 CE. The Roman army destroyed anything written in Hebrew,
including the Torah, and including the Nazarean Gospels written in Hebrew (Acts 24:5). This was followed over the centuries by the Catholic inquisitions in Europe, eradicating anything Jewish, or Hebraic as the Roman Church sought to make Latin the Holy Language replacing Hebrew and only tolerating Greek. The Crusaders made a destructive path attacking Jews on their way to Palestine, again ruthlessly destroying any writings in Hebrew and burning synagogues. The original Hebrew Gospels, with the one and only revealed name of the Savior, were destroyed, hidden, and/or lost to Christianity.
We are commanded,
“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain” (Exodus 20:7).
It is a vain thing to replace the very revealed name of God.
“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints” (Jude 3).
The very name of the Savior, YAHSHUA, was once delivered to the saints, and there is no other name (Acts 4:12).
“‘And now, O priests (leaders and teachers of the Church),
This commandment is for you.
If you will not hear, and if you will not take it to heart,
To give glory to My name,’ says YAH’ of hosts,
‘I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings.
Yes, I have cursed them already,
Because you do not take it to heart”
(Malachi 2:1-2).
Hearing this scripture what does it make you think, and would you this is important to teach the hole truth of God revealed truth ?
4. Its time to restore the truth!
The Evangelist Luke, the physician and companion of the apostle Paul, and who wrote the events of the Christ and of the apostles in the Book of Acts, and who no doubt knew the very revealed name of the Savior, quoting the apostle Peter who miraculously healed a lame man, and he said:
“And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16).
And Peter said:
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send YAHSHUA the Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began” (Acts 3:19-21).
It is time to restore the very revealed name of our Savior, the
very name… YAHSHUA!
“Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, ‘Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of YAHSHUA the Messiah of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved”
(Acts 4:8-12).
This part of the testimony does not seem to be grasped by many, that
“There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved!”
The apostle Peter spoke, preached, in this name of YAHSHUA. And the religious leaders of the Jews heard the name, which has the Name which is above every name, the name given to Moses being “YAH.” Thus the religious leaders in Jerusalem decide:
“But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name”
(Acts 4:17).
People that read the Bible, and praise God, will say, “Halleluyah”, and not seem to know that they are saying. “Praise YAH!” These religious leaders, who keep the name of God hidden from the Gentles, and recognizing the name of God in His name (YAH) which is the name above every name in the Savior’s revealed name YAHSHUA, forbid the disciples from preaching in this name.
Every language of man, every tongue, is to profess the very revealed name of the Savior, YAHSHUA. The apostle Paul testified,
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name (YAH) which is above every name, that at the name of YAHSHUA every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Messiah is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
The false premise, or reasoning, given by many that because “I speak English, so I say Jesus,” is false and does not recognizing that the Gospel allows for only one name, YAHSHUA. Halleluyah, Praise YAH, Praise YAHSHUA!
5. The dangers of rejecting the truth
To those who reject the truth of the revealed name of the Savior, who say,
“I have experienced miracles in the name of Jesus, and many wonders in that name, be warned: YAHSHUA said in Matthew 7:21-23,
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders (miracles) in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’”
Satan, the god of this age (2 Corinthians 4:3-4), who indeed is deceiving the whole world (Revelation 12:9), has succeeded in changing the very name of our salvation. To reject the revelations and commandments of God is to be of lawlessness, a worker of lawlessness. To reject the reveled name of YAHSHUA our Savior is to remain condemned.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).
But despite the testimony of the Gospel about the importance of the very revealed name of YAHSHUA, most will seek to cling to the false name of Jesus, which demonstrably was never revealed by God the Father of our Lord and Savior YAHSHUA, who gave the Savior, the Son of God, the name which is above every name (YAH). This is “the name which is above every name” revealed to Moses.
“Then Moses said to God, ‘Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?’ And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM (HAYAH ASHAR HAYAH). And He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM (YAH) has sent me to you.’ Moreover God said to Moses, ‘Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The LORD [YHWH] God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations’” (Exodus 3:13-15).
YAHSHUA identified Himself as the “I AM”, for YAHSHUA said to them,
“Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58).
Therefore, YAH the God of Israel is also YAH the God of salvation for Israel and the whole world, to all who believe in His name.
“Behold, God is my salvation,
I will trust and not be afraid;
‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song;
He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV).
Again to those who refused the true revealed name of the Savior, there is this warning:
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).
This could be even more disconcerting when one may consider that Christianity is the largest religious group in the world more than any other religious group today, and yet, sadly, due to the fact that that few there be that find it, many will hear the Savior say to them, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.” And despite their rebuttal, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied, preached, cast out demons, and done wonders even miracles in your name (Jesus),” and He, YAHSHUA, will say, “I never knew you, depart from Me, you workers of Lawlessness!” And the Lord said to them, “Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying: ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men’” (Matthew 15:7-9). For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD (YAHSHUA) shall be saved” (Romans 10:13), the apostle Paul is quoting Joel 2:32, however, Joel is using the name based on the actual name given to Moses, YHWH (YAH). What will you choose to call out for your salvation, the name of Jesus, which is of the traditions of men according to the workers of lawlessness, and not according to the revelation of the Lord, or by the revealed name of YAHSHUA, which, as testified, He has the name which is above every name, and this name (YAH) is the true name of God (see Strong’s Dictionary of Bible Words, no. 3050, YAH appears 49 times in the Bible, p. 508).
6.THE GREATEST NAME
“Sing to God, sing praises to His name;
Extol Him who rides on the clouds,
By His name YAH,
And rejoice before Him” (Psalms 68:4 NKJV).
In the Hebrew Scriptures the name of YAH appears in numerous places, however, when translated, it is LORD, which stands for the four consonants in God’s name (YHWH), but the essential name of God is YAH, which is the name which is above every name as testified to in Philippians 2:9. What we find in the actual Hebrew in Exodus 15:2, is this:
“My strength and song is YAH, and He is to me salvation. This is my God, and I will glorify Him! Moses calls God by His name, which is essentially YAH, as in “YAH Ever-present,”
(YAHAWAH)
or when He came down from Heaven to be born, the Son of God, He was given the name which is above every name YAHSHUA, which means “YAH Saves.” How are we to bring glory to His name if we do not know His revealed name?
How did the revealed name YAH become the not revealed name of Jeh, which we find in Yeshua, Jesus, and JEHovah? Jews since the Babylonian invasion have sought to hide or cover the name of God. Nebuchadnezzar conquered and destroyed the Kingdom of Judah in 586 BC. The campaign, which probably ended in the summer of 586 BC, resulted in the plunder and destruction of the city of Jerusalem and the Temple of God, a permanent end to the kingdom of Judah, and it led to the Babylonian captivity, as the majority of Jews were captured and deported to Babylon. Archaeological excavations confirm that Jerusalem and the surrounding area was destroyed and depopulated.
7. In conclusion
Should we uphold this revealed truth from God or do we have the right to change His one name under heaven among men by which we must saved ?
