Who is the Only True God? Who is our only God? And What are the Warnings of the New Testament?

Rev. Steve Marlowe

YAHSHUA often prayed to His God and Father, and He taught others to do the same.  He gave an example of prayer:   “In this manner, therefore, pray:  ‘Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.  Your kingdom come.  Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.  And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.  For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.’

“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you” (Matthew 6:9-11 NKJV).

Before His arrest, “YAHSHUA spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said, ‘Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You,  just as You gave Him authority over all mankind, so that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life.  And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and YAHSHUA the Christ whom You have sent.  I glorified You on the earth by accomplishing the work which You have given Me to do.  And now You, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world existed.  I have revealed Your name {YAH} to the men whom You gave Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have followed Your word.  Now they have come to know that everything which You have given Me is from You; for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received themand truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.  I ask on their behalf; I do not ask on behalf of the world, but on the behalf of those whom You have given Me, because they are Yours;  and all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.  I am no longer going to be in the world; and yet they themselves are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name{YAH} which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.  While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name, which You have given Me; and I guarded them, and not one of them perished except the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.  But now I am coming to You; and these things I speak in the world so that they may have My joy made full in themselves.  I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from the evil one.  They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.  Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.  Just as You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world.  And for their sakes, I sanctify Myself, so that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.  I am not asking on behalf of these alone, but also for those who believe in Me through their word,  that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.  The glory which You have given Me I also have given to them, so that they may be one, just as We are one;  I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and You loved them, just as You loved Me.  Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given Me, be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.  “Righteous Father, although the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me;  and I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them” (John 17:1-26).

Notice that YAHSHUA prays to the One whom He calls “the only true God,” because His God and Father is “the all in all God” (read:  1 Corinthians 15:20-28). The key to remember is that the Father has nothing to do with sin. When all our sins were placed on Christ, who Himself was on the cross paying the price, which is death, for all those under the bondage of sin, who believe in Him and by the power in His name, YAHSHUA, therefore, the Father, by His Holy Spirit, pulled away when His Son bore our sins for us!  The Son, never having been separated from the Father, cried out, “My God, My God why have you forsaken Me.” As it is written, “And about the ninth hour, YAHSHUA cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” That is to say, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46). This cry is a fulfillment of Psalm 22:1, one of many parallels between that psalm and the specific events of the crucifixion. When one understands the Father will not have anything to do with sin, It is not difficult to understand in what sense YAHSHUA was “forsaken” by His Father and God. God, the Father, certainly approved His work. YAHSHUA was certainly innocent. He had done nothing to forfeit the favor of God. As God’s own Son—holy, undefiled, and obedient—God the Father loved Him. In none of these senses could God have forsaken Him, except at that very moment when our sins were placed upon Him.

Since the fall of Lucifer and the hosts of Heaven that followed him, the Father gave all things to His Son YAHSHUA (Matthew 11:27).  By the Father giving all things to the Son, “the Son was in the form of God,”  indeed our only God, as it is that the Father would have nothing to do with sinful man, which is why Christ, our God, is our intermediary between the Father, the only true God, and mankind.  The Father giving all things to the Son made the Son in His positional status to be equal with God, even though the Son is not greater than God the Father.   “Let this mind be in you which was also in Messiah YAHSHUA,  who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,  but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.  And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.  Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name {YAH} which is above every name,  that at the name of YAHSHUA, every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  and thatevery tongue should confess that YAHSHUA the Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:5-11).  The Father, who has nothing to do with sin, gave all things to YAHSHUA, the Son of God, that He would be our only God until all things are fulfilled, and at that time, the Son of God, YAHSHUA, would turn all things back over to the Father once death and sin were no more.  YAHSHUAmeant exactly what He said,  “You have heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away and coming back to you.’ If you loved Me, you would rejoice because I said, ‘I am going to the Father,’ for My Father is greater than I.  And now I have told you before it comes, that when it does come to pass, you may believe.  I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world (Satan) is coming, and he has nothing in Me.  But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave Me commandment, so I do. Arise, let us go from here” (John 14:28-31).

 YAHSHUA, essentially our only God and Savior until all things are fulfilled, paid the price by dying for all those who believe in His name (YAHSHUA) because His God and Father gave Him this name of salvation, and there is no other name (Acts 4:12), and when they (the believers in His name) call on the name YAHSHUA, they shall be saved (Romans 10:13).  “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this YAHSHUA, whom you crucified, both LORD and Christ” (Acts 2:36).

YAH means “I AM” in Hebrew.  Christ told the people that He is the “I AM”, that is YAH.  “YAHSHUA said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM’” (John 8:58).  YAHSHUA literally told the Jews that He was their God, “YAH!”  YAH is “the name which is above every name” given to our God and Savior (Philippians 2:9).

The Apostle Paul in Athens testified to the Greeks.  “Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, ‘Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious;  for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.  Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you:  God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands.  Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.  And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,  so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;  for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’  Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man’s devising.  Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,  because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man (YAHSHUA) whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead” (Acts 17:22-31).

Now is the time to repent!  For when we die it is too late.  We, as humans, are subject to death at any time.  Do not take for granted the God who graciously gives you time to repent and choose this day whom you will serve, and believe in the true name of YAHSHUA, the only name of our salvation, and be saved!  This earth is temporary.  God is eternal.  Serve the things of the earth, which comes to nothing, and those sinners without Christ shall be cast off forever, or serve the eternal God and have eternal life, which is love, happiness, joy, and fulfillment. YAHSHUA said, “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.  In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.  And where I go you know, and the way you know.”

 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

 YAHSHUA said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:1-6).

A lot of Christians mistakenly believe that God the Father appeared to Adam in the garden of Eden, that the Father appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and that He appeared to the prophets, and Moses, but that was the Son of God, who until all things are fulfilled is our only God.  We know that the Father, the only true God, has nothing to do with sinful mankind except through and by the Son of God, who, now, is our only God, because God the Father gave the Son all Power, all Dominion, all glory, and all majesty, who is our only God and Savior until death is no more, therefore:   “To God our Savior, Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and Power, Both now and forever. Amen” (Jude 25).  We do not know the Father except through and by the Son.  “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18).  We read in John 5:37-46, “And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form.  But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe.  You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.  I do not receive honor from men.  But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you.  I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive.  How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God?  Do not think that I shall accuse you to the Father; there is one who accuses you—Moses, in whom you trust.  For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.  But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?” The whole Bible is about our God, who has the right to claim to be our only God, the LORD YAH, who appeared to us, and who is the Son of God, YAHSHUA.

God, the Father, has never spoken to us, except through and by God, the Son of God, YAHSHUA.  We only know God, the Father, who is the Father and God of our God, YAHSHUA, and it is through Him, YAHSHUA, that we even know the Father.  This is demonstrated in Isaiah 44:6-8, which is not the Father speaking, but our God, who is the Son of His God and Father.  Without the Son of God, who is our only God until all things are fulfilled at which time our God {the LORD YAH} turns everything over to His God and Father (1 Corinthians 15:20-28).

There Is No Other God for us but the LORD YAH!

In the following, the One speaking is Christ, not the Father.

6 “Thus says the Lord {YAH}, the King of Israel,
and his Redeemer, the Lord {YAH} of hosts:
‘I am the First and I am the Last;
Besides Me there is no God.

7 And who can proclaim as I do?
Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me,
Since I appointed the ancient people.
And the things that are coming and shall come,
Let them show these to them.

8 Do not fear, nor be afraid;
Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?
You are My witnesses.
Is there a God besides Me?
Indeed there is no other Rock;
I know not one.’”

In Isaiah 44:6-8, the one speaking is the One we know as our Savior, the Son of God, who the Father gave all things to, which made the Son our God, who is the Lord YAH our only God, and again this will be until all things are fulfilled and death is no more.

“Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For Yah, the Lord, ismy strength and song; He also has become my salvation’” (Isaiah 12:2 NKJV).

YAH is the Rock, and YAHSHUA means “I AM Salvation.”  The Apostle Paul identifies the Rock as Christ.  He writes, “Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,  all ate the same spiritual food,  and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ” (1 Corinthians 10:1-4).

The essential name of salvation is YAH (the I AM, HaYAH, not ehyeh), and Christ, by the only name of Salvation, is our only God, until all things are fulfilled and death is no more.  The angel never said the name ‘Jesus’ (Matthew 1:21), a name that linguistically evolved by the tongue of man, and therefore, not given by the revelation of God.  YAHSHUA is the only name of salvation, Just as the apostle Peter testified, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

The counterfeit names, evolved by the tongue and traditions of men, and not of God, nor were these names, Jesus, Iesus, or Iesous, revealed by God.  Jesus transformed from Iesus, as Iesus can be found in the 1611 King James Version of the Bible, and Iesus transformed from Iesous, which is a transliteration from the Aramaic name Yeshua.  Yeshua was a common name in the 1st century among the Jews.  Notice that the name Yeshua is devoid of the essential name of salvation YAH.  The Jews sought to hide the name YAH, the I AM, and LORD (YHWH) from the Gentiles.  It started at the time of the Babylonian invasion of the Kingdom of Judah (in the year 597 BCE).  In the 1st century CE, note the reaction of the Sanhedrin (the Jewish Court), when the Apostles Peter and John gave their testimony,  “Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, ‘Rulers of the people and elders of Israel:  If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well,  let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of YAHSHUA the Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.  This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’  Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:8-12).

The Name of YAHSHUA Forbidden: “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with YAHSHUA.  And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.  But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,  saying, ‘What shall we do to these men? For, indeed, that a notable miracle has been done through them is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.  But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us severely threaten them, that from now on they speak to no man in this name.’

So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of YAHSHUA.  But Peter and John answered and said to them, ‘Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.  For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard’” (Acts 4:13-20).  Remember, a “Historian” does not give an opinion, but only writes the facts of History, on the other hand, a Commentator, writes facts, but also writes opinions based on those facts, but this is not what a bonafide Historian does.  A Historian, who gives an opinion without telling his readers that it is an opinion, is not a good historian, and his reputation will be tarnished, and he will be discredited.  The Historian Ernest Renan has emphatically acknowledged in his book, that the Savior was NEVER in His lifetime called “Jesus” (Ernest Renan, The Life of Jesus, p. 90).  The name Jesus has only existed in its present form since the 17th century.

P.S.

I must give warning, that to reject the revealed name from Heaven is to stand condemned!  This is the essence of the Gospel:  “ For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.  He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:16-18).  Now that the true name of YAHSHUA, “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12), has been revealed to you, and if you reject the name YAHSHUA, unfortunately, you will stand in judgment “condemned!” You must believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God, YAHSHUA!

For further study, I recommend strongly that you get the New King James Version of the Bible.  In other words, go out and buy the Bible (NKJV) as soon as possible.  Have you noticed what has been happening around the world lately?  YAHSHUA warned us, as it is written, “Then YAHSHUA went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple.  And YAHSHUA (looking at the city of Jerusalem), said to them, ‘Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.’ Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

And YAHSHUA answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.  For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.   And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.  For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.  And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.  Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.  But he who endures to the end shall be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

‘Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.  Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house.  And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.  But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days!  And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath.  For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake, those days will be shortened.  Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it.  For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you beforehand.  Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it.  For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.  For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:1-31).

Finally, the warning that tells you few there are who find and that know the truth of the Gospel, and YAHSHUA said,  “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.  Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).  Brothers, believe in this and be of the few.

In YAHSHUA’S NAME

Your Brother in Christ,

Steve Marlowe
